ecoflo leather color

The first bottle I bought from Bigfly was the exact same color and the base of the sofa was stained with that color but then I bought a second bottle from another seller and the color was complete wrong and had a very reddish hue. It was almost mahogany and completely ruined my project. Now I have to peel off the skin and start over. I've never used leather dye before, so I didn't have enough experience to know that color could be completely different. It should not differ significantly from…

Worked great on a small stool

I studied several leather dyes before attempting to repair a brown leather stool that had been exposed to too much sunlight and was badly faded and cracked. I took into account the negative reviews but after watching a few YouTube videos on how to use the Tandy product I bought it from Timber Brown. In just 15 minutes, the color and the skin itself have improved beyond belief. It was necessary to put a little on a clean rag and rub it in in a circular motion, then wipe off the excess with a…

Pros
  • <p>Eco-Flo Leather Dye is a water-based, low VOC, penetrating leather dye for use on naturally vegetable tanned tool leather. It's great for solid colors or background colors. Also for coloring flowers, patterns and designs. Application: For use on naturally vegetable-tanned tool leather. Make sure the leather surface is as clean as possible. Apply with an art brush, wool brush, airbrush or aerosol spray. Dilute with water. Allow the project to dry completely. Buff with clean lambswool or a soft cloth to remove excess surface pigment before applying the top coat. Repeat until desired shade is achieved. Seal with a top coat. All Tandy leather finishes are compatible with this product. Clean with soap and water. Do not use on suede. A NOTICE. Some paints absorb a small amount of color from water-based dyes. To protect against unsightly stains on items with painted backgrounds, colorful figures or carvings, first apply a finish to the painted area with a brush to lock in the colors and then apply a final coat with a sponge or soft cloth.

Ideal for naturally colored vegetable leather.

I bought the Torben men's card holder from Skagen, natural, one size, and didn't have the patience to leave it with a natural patina and didn't feel the natural pristine color it came in. This Eco-Flo material appears to be the only leather dye available in California and I'm pleasantly surprised that it works the way I wanted it to. I painted a piece that wasn't stained, sealed or treated with any type of oil so the process was as easy as it gets. The dye was easy enough to use, I prepared the
