Review on LFPartS Trailer Receiver Adapter Sleeve Exterior Accessories by Scott Matute

I really like the size of this adapter. It fits snugly in my Cherokee's 2" receiver and my 1-1/4" racks and hitch fit snugly. This means it doesn't rattle or have extra impact. And while the fit is snug, it's easy to slip on and off. In other words, the inside and outside dimensions are perfect. I also like that unlike some other designs, this adapter doesn't push your receiver further away from your car, so heavy luggage racks don't add more weight to the receiver. Mounting the adapter with a trailer hitch is easy. However, it is more difficult to install it with a heavy stand, which is lifted with two hands. I have a heavy ski rack that is difficult to set up without both hands. When you insert it into the adapter and the adapter is inserted into the receiver, it's difficult to align the bolt holes of all three unless you have a helper who can slide the bolt through the adapter's bolt hole when it's aligned , and then through the rack's bolt hole when it is aligned. You can do it yourself, but it's much easier with help. I don't see a way to improve the adapter to make this easier without changing the design to put the receiver further from the car, which I don't want, so I'm still giving it 5 stars despite this issue.
