If you like this mouse and suddenly it stops working, don't panic. The software is so poorly written that the mouse sometimes loses its LOD (Lift Distance) settings. As a result, the mouse no longer works as usual on dark or grainy surfaces. In this case, the software can't even detect the mouse, so there's nothing you can do. The solution I found is to take the mouse off the mouse pad, place it on a leg or white surface and you can track again. Strange right? Then download the software again and it can connect to the mouse. From there, click Factory Reset in the Alienware Command Center. Then you're back in business. After that I set up the mouse the way I wanted in the power and lighting profile settings and then uninstalled all the Dell software from my computer. Back in business. It seems to be a calibration and settings issue that is changing for some reason. The equipment itself is fine, it can easily be adjusted. Hope this helps anyone seeing the same thing.
