Solid mouse with accessories

First let me say that I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to mice. I just unplugged a Logitech g602 which was fine for a while but was starting to go haywire so I needed a new mouse. Overall the mouse is great. The pros are that it's light, responsive, ergonomic and looks pretty good. My only downside was trying to install the Alienware software, again I'm not very good at it but once I got it working everything works fine. I noticed that you have to have a mouse pad (don't know

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • May I add something

Looks cheap and has terrible battery life

I first bought an Alienware mouse because I needed a mouse that could be used with both my right and left hands. My daily companion is the Microsoft Surface Precision Mouse, which is designed for right-handers only. Having already had an Alienware keyboard, which I think has an excellent build quality and premium feel, I figured the Alienware mouse would have a similar build quality. Put simply, it isn't. Compared to my Surface Mouse in the same price range, an Alienware (AW) mouse should be…

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Good but not great

Good mouse, bad software

If you like this mouse and suddenly it stops working, don't panic. The software is so poorly written that the mouse sometimes loses its LOD (Lift Distance) settings. As a result, the mouse no longer works as usual on dark or grainy surfaces. In this case, the software can't even detect the mouse, so there's nothing you can do. The solution I found is to take the mouse off the mouse pad, place it on a leg or white surface and you can track again. Strange right? Then download the software again…

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • That worries me

Good choice for a 4K monitor

Update 3 months after purchase: mouse does not work intermittently. Only the right click is registered, but the mouse pointer does not move. Restarting the PC/reinstalling the drivers doesn't help. I do not recommend. --- Previous Review: After switching to a 4K monitor, I needed a mouse with a very high DPI and an easy way to toggle sensitivity. AW610M is exactly that. Pros: - Super high DPI - Easy way to change DPI in both directions if you need extra precision or extra speed - Excellent…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Annoying

Comfortable and stylish

My first reaction to this mouse was that it felt good in my hand but the clicker was quite loud. I've gotten used to it now and the loud clicking doesn't bother me anymore. It's a solid mouse, but it advertises a battery life of up to 350 hours, and it gave me a critical battery warning after a lot less use than it did after my first full charge. I'm not sure if they intend for you to turn off the mouse every time you're done using the computer or not. Using it with the included charger is fine

Pros
  • Solid build
Cons
  • Damaged
