I connected 8 ohm speakers to it and the thing is quite loud. Pretty decent for what it is. It would be nice to be able to adjust the gain on this little thing. Once you exceed 50% volume, the sound gets a little distorted, but it's loud and clear enough without being too loud. You won't throw a party with it, but you need it for a DIY Bluetooth speaker. I have an old cell phone battery connected to a Micro USB 18650 5V 1A TP4056 Lithium Battery Board Charger Module and it is connected to an XL6009 3-30V to 4- Boost Converter Module. 35V DC, adjustable output voltage, boost PCB, 400kHz, large current, connected is 4A, and I adjusted the output voltage to 12.5 volts. Works great.
