Review on Janome Needle Plate Various Models by Dawn Fischer

Delivered on time as promised. It fits my Jamone Memory Craft 5700. The original plate was stamped number 756008 on the back. The new panel had a small thin panel on the front and it fitted the machine and sewed well except when I started to sew the piece and at the very end like the stand didn't grab the fabric and pull it through (it felt like there was too much fabric and too thick, I had to push or pull the fabric, but only at the beginning and end where I had 4-6 layers, not just 2 layers). I read on another site that this extra plate can cause problems and can be removed. I removed it and had to use the old part of the plate to hold the bobbin case release tab/spring, but it was easy to do. See the photos I've included. Now it works much better and you don't have to click at the beginning! Very happy with my purchase! My old record was so worn down due to the nicks from the needle (even after filing it with a nail file) that I think the file made my needle hole too wide and it ate some of my material, sucking it into the compartment coil and ruined. several pieces of material. I'm glad I finally have a new record!
