Review on ⚡ High-Performance 2-Pack Coaxial Surge Lightning Protector for Cable TV and Satellite, In-Line 75 Ohm, 5-2500MHz by Devin Henry

4 stars overall, 5 stars for the price and ease of installation as the actual surge protector is yet to be seen. Bought and installed coaxial lightning protection device VCE 2-pack for cable and satellite TV (in the line 75 ohms, 5-2500 MHz), the second protection device was left in reserve. They are NOT waterproof for outdoor use according to MGFR and must be protected from the elements. The Mgfr product page states "Note: Not used for cable modem." For more than a couple of years we have withstood two sets of cable modems and routers failing due to nearby lightning strikes and surges in the coax cable (broadband/television/ telephone service) have failed. We are in an area that experiences severe thunderstorms throughout the year. After installing VCE Protector, there was NO degradation in high-speed broadband performance (upload and download speeds measured before and after installing VCE), TV signal quality, or broadband phone service. There was another canyon storm with rain, hail, lightning and thunder but there were no over voltage issues to test the coaxial VCE lightning rod - so we'll have to see how it performs in the future.
