UPDATE 1/2/2022: I’ve been using the cable some more for several months, and it turns out it was the computer. It doesn’t do that anymore, even with the same computer. Even though it doesn’t feel very premium, and it doesn’t seem like it will last.Since I first got this cable, it has been having issues. When the computer I’m using this with is starting up, it would send a widescreen image, but the cable would cut off the widescreen part and display an old-style 4:3 image. Then, I restarted this computer one time, and now it does the same thing in Windows after it has started up. I don’t know what it did, but it’s not right. The computer I’m using does not have an HDMI port, so I would have to buy a new cable.
