First of all, this lens allows you to take beautiful portraits. Its photos look dreamy and it delivers more memorable results than any other lens I've had. The construction is great too. As with other XF lenses, the aperture ring snaps in well and the focus ring is smooth. Its metal body feels great. I've heard complaints about it being front heavy and bulky on small bodies, but it's smaller than the competition (85mm full glory and 50-60mm aps-s) and I use it on the x-t30 with no problem. Dislikes: Hunts, especially in low light. It's definitely not quick to focus. And since it's a little harder has a long focal length and no stabilization, it's easy to miss if you don't use a fast shutter speed and are careful with your technique. This requires you to set your shutter speed manually, which can also result in missing your shot. This is a much better lens in stable or controlled conditions. All in all, it's a different experience than the Fuji f2. I usually leave my 35mm f2 on the camera; it focuses faster, handles better, takes great pictures and tells a story. However, when creating portraits, the 56th rules the day. takes great pictures and tells a story. However, when creating portraits, the 56th rules the day. takes great pictures and tells a story.
