So, in its planned obsolescence strategy, Apple simply discontinues iTunes support for the iPod (yes, that's how old I am). You can no longer access iTunes from an iPod. While one of my audio systems has a USB port that I can plug my phone into, I only have an old-school iPod dock. Therefore, I needed another solution - Bluetooth. Don't waste your time with these $25 Chinese Bluetooth connectors. They don't work because they don't have a DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) amplifier. Get this. Made in Germany. Multiple connection options. RCA, mini jack and audio-optical. Good range and good transmission accuracy. I'm using an old Iphone 6 (no cellular connection) as a music server. That way, phone and SMS won't interrupt your music stream. Another plus, I can change playlists from across the room.
