This ceramic container is very aesthetic. One of the disadvantages is that, unlike glass containers, the level is not visible. So you have to be careful when pushing the plunger not to push it too far (below the water level) and you have to measure how much water to use. The instructions are very thorough and "to the point" on how to make great French coffee. I used quotes for "precise" because they made a mistake in converting ounces of water to grams of water - it doesn't calculate correctly and if you use grams your coffee will end up being quite weak and diluted. Use ounces or convert ounces to grams as follows: One ounce equals 28ml, 1ml of water = 1g of water which means 12 ounces = 336g not 415 as stated in the instructions. I also think the measurements for the rest of the cups of coffee are wrong. The great thing about a ceramic French press is that your coffee stays warmer for longer. The instructions prompt you to drink it right away — sort of a sinking.
