Review on DEEPCOOL Gamma Archer CPU Air Cooler with 120mm Fan for Intel and AMD Processors - High Airflow Design by Makoto Maeda ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend it.

got around to buy a new cooler, the old one was noisy and could not cope, and took this miracle for 490. I had to remove the video card and pull out the RAM, unscrew the fan from the radiator and only then inserted it, under amd, it was obviously done in a wrong way, but when I turned it on, it went nuts, it was spinning at 1600 RPM, when the old one was threshing 4200 RPM, the idle temperature was not 55, but 30, under load not 78, but 40, just a miracle after almost 2 months, the thermal paste in the kit ceased to fulfill its role, as a result - stock 55, 100% load - 60, do not use the built-in thermocouple. (09/31/2022) and so, this thing broke 3 mounts for me!, it's better to unscrew the mount when removing it in order to at least slightly relax the plastic, the cooler itself is not bad for its price, it's hard to find analogues.

Pros
  • low price beautiful view quiet multi-platform CPU and RAM cooling
Cons
  • heavy installation 3pin connector low processor coverage a terrible gift, in the form of fresh thermal paste, Alya KPT 8

With its pros: Price, suitable for AMD and Intel, appearance. Some cons: Pretty difficult installation (I had to remove the motherboard in order to install it).
