Absolutely incredible machine!

For more than a year I had to choose between a GPS or a range finder and when I found out this thing existed I had to get it. At first glance, the device appears solid but not overly heavy and looks sharp. The on-screen options are clear and easy to use, and it took about 20 minutes to update. I couldn't wait to use it. I took it to the par 3 after work the next day and after selecting Play Golf it took less than 10 seconds to load everything into the GPS when the map came up. just wow! Mind you I never had a GPS or range finder so the whole experience was great. The hole was accurate, the rangefinder function worked great and the pinpointer was incredibly accurate. My favorite experience is how lasers and GPS give the most accurate calculations. For example, if you pin a flag 15-20 yards from a tree behind it, you'll know if you're making distance to the tree by looking at the arc of the yellow shot, which is further away than the green itself. It was great, when my buddy got stuck 176 yards and I corrected him that it went all the way to the tree/bunker behind the hole. Battery life seems to be an issue in other reviews, but I still had 72% left after two games. Another issue that was mentioned was the time it takes to load between frames, but that wasn't an issue either. I took the device out of my pocket and pressed a button. When I looked at it, the device was ready. The only reason I didn't rate this a full 5 stars was because the up button had to be pressed. difficult to get it to work or you can press the down button to see the options. I know it sounds petty, but after spending $600 I wanted perfection so I'm trading it in. Another concern was the case; it's very tight. With regular use on the trail you'll want to keep it slightly out of your pocket so you can get a grip on it, it's very comfortable. Advantages: combined laser + GPS for the most accurate location of the pin; firm but not heavy; the feel of a video game looking through the viewfinder; Pin pointer was more accurate than expected. Cons: [my] Up button didn't work as usual; Case was too tight (that's all)
