Description of 🏌️ Enhance Your Golf Game with Garmin Approach Z80: Laser Range Finder and 2D Course Overlays

Most accurate laser distance measurements, within 10” to the flag, up to 350 yards/320 meters. Full-color 2-D CourseView mapping is overlaid on the viewfinder for more than 41,000 courses worldwide. Image stabilization reduces shakiness and makes it easier to find and range the flag. Green View feature automatically shows distance to the front and back of the green. PlaysLike Distance feature adjusts distances based on uphill or downhill slope; turns on or off for tournament play. The Laser Range Arc feature draws an arc on the 2-D course view map at the distance the laser ranged, so you can see everything that is in play at that distance. Laser accuracy: +/- 10" (25 cm).

Requires updated Windows or Mac to use/update

I thought I could use my old XP unit for updates as I use it for my Garmin GPS. I've needed a more modern computer than I have since I switched to a Chromebook. It might have been a good range finder, but I didn't want to buy a new computer to use.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not bad

Necessary strap for golf course GPS modules

This item is amazing. I really love it because it gives you everything you need in one package... The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because it doesn't attach to a lanyard... And he needs it badly because it's easy to put it down somewhere and lose it, and there's no way to attach it to yourself or a golf cart

Best GPS Rangefinder

So after reading the other battery life reviews I made the purchase anyway. I have taken the following steps. 1) Charge the device. 2) Read the entire manual. 3) Updated the software. 4) Test drive on the driving range. Now I was ready. Used the device for two rounds of golf and it worked great with all functions active. After two laps I still had 62% battery. This is an amazing device and I would recommend it to anyone else on the market.

  • Perfect for outdoor activities

The battery is TERRIBLE!

I put up with it and paid a tidy sum for cool golf equipment. The look, feel and overall coolness of the product inspired me to use it. On the first day of action, he lost a full load on the 14th hole. (I played in a private club and the round ended in less than 3 hours). When I got home, I immediately charged it. A few hours later, the battery still showed no charge. At this point I realized that this is a huge waste of money and that all the features aren't worth the price, especially when…

While others have commented on the battery life, I haven't had this issue. However, I've played over 40 rounds on the Z80 since receiving it as a Christmas present. I play the vast majority of my rounds on a club pitch that I know well. My main problem with the device is that I don't trust the laser readings. I don't know if this is due to the manufacturer's decision to "help out" with the laser measurement using GPS knowledge, or the lag of the imaging system versus the laser system (the image

Short battery life issue SOLVED!

I have been using a laser range finder for several years. Great for pin distance - if you can see the pin. Not suitable for situations where there is no direct connection from the location to the pen. I bought a Garmin Approach Z80 as it has a laser and GPS. As well as determining distance to the front and back of the green, the GPS provides the distance to all areas of interest on each hole - hazards, streams, lakes, traps, etc. from your location - and displays this graphically on the map…

Absolutely incredible machine!

For more than a year I had to choose between a GPS or a range finder and when I found out this thing existed I had to get it. At first glance, the device appears solid but not overly heavy and looks sharp. The on-screen options are clear and easy to use, and it took about 20 minutes to update. I couldn't wait to use it. I took it to the par 3 after work the next day and after selecting Play Golf it took less than 10 seconds to load everything into the GPS when the map came up. just wow! Mind…
