I have a 2018 15" MBP with TouchBar and a 27" Samsung 4k monitor with HDMI and DisplayPort inputs. I used the Revain Basics USB-C to DisplayPort cable for about a year, but the cable never worked properly. The laptop never woke up properly, the cable had to be changed several times; it was a big pain in the ass. I finally broke down and hesitantly ordered this case because the price seemed too good to be true. So far it seems to be working very well! I have a Revain Basics 4K HDMI cable and I use it with my laptop and monitor and I love it! There is a small lag when using 4K HDMI compared to DisplayPort, but I can probably get used to it. I don't think it's the hub, it's the HDMI design. However, I love this center and look forward to getting lots of it!
