This screen door latch will never fit in a screen door as it is NOT fixed to the door. It comes with two plastic sides, but the sides cannot be held together with the included screws. One side as holes (that don't go through) and the other side just has bolts that don't snap into the holes and won't fasten the screws anyway (see photo). This is a defective latch that was designed and manufactured. This bar does not match the description and picture in the product listing. Even the instructions that come with it are for a different latch. DO NOT BUY.
