I bought this door lock to replace a broken one on my bathroom sliding door. This lock was very easy to install and fits/works perfectly. In fact, this is a higher quality lock than the one originally installed on the door. Great price, great product. I highly recommend!

I bought this because my current sliding door is being used to confine one of my cats in the back of the house for bullying. My cats, on the other hand, know how to put their paw in a pocket door and open it if it's unlocked. Since this lock only has a twist handle on one side (the other side looks like a screw that you have to insert a flat object into), I decided to just buy another lock, remove the twist handle side, and put that on the other side of my current lock. I'm surprised that some of the reviews don't point to a specific issue. The indentations on either side of the linkage assembly (i.e. on the front and back of the door) where you need to place your fingers to open and/or close the door are smooth, very sloping sides and fairly shallow, making gripping very difficult makes on the door to pull it inattentively and very carefully, otherwise fingers will slip out.
