Good photocurable resin; Buy it if you want a tougher resin

I bought this resin for a project that uses gears. My printer is a Phrozen Sonic Mini 4k 6.1". The bottle is really good - as pictured, it's an aluminum bottle with a strong safety cap. It also has an extra cap in the form of a gasket inside to prevent spills when the cap isn't fully secured, which is nice. The bottle is much higher quality than the standard bottles that Elegoo and Anycubic offer. The resin itself has a fairly typical smell (a kind of "letter glue smell, characteristic of photocuring resins") permeates the space it works in up to It seems to have a moderate viscosity - thinner than standard Elegoo, thicker than standard Anycubic Since the Sonic Mini 4k has a monochrome LCD, I can usually work with resins like Elegoo and Anycubic with 2.5 second cure time This resin seems to handle a 3.5 second cure time fairly well, which is a significant improvement lt if we go we're talking about thousands of layers but that's a compromise you make to improve mechanical properties. DR.3D also recommends a first layer cure time of 30-60 seconds. I divided the difference by 45 seconds and that seems to work great. Otherwise it seems to print fine with all other settings identical to how I print with standard Elegoo or Anycubic resins. rather PLA. It's MUCH more malleable than regular UV resin, but it will still crack if subjected to too much stress. That makes it ideal for things like small gears with low loads. It should be noted that due to the extreme heat, I was printing with this resin in a room where the temperature is around 92ยฐF. The typical working range for UV resins is 68F-86F so this is outside the working range but it still seems to cure well.
