These Vacu Vin Frozen Champagne "jackets" for your champagne won't chill a warm bottle properly, in my opinion, but they do a great job of keeping the chilled bottle nice and cold when you drink it. Nobody wants warm champagne and nobody wants a dirty ice bucket. If you start with room temperature champagne, place the bottle in the freezer for ONE hour to chill. Pay attention; set a timer. You don't want a mess in your freezer! You can then take the bottle out of the freezer, slip on a Vacu Vin jacket and enjoy well-chilled champagne until the bottle is empty. We keep a few of these coolers in the freezer in case we need a second bottle.
