Review on Enhancing Performance with Hanson 7005 Carbon Hexagon Across by Josh Maher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

EVEN IF I JUST USE IT ONCE I SAVE ALL MY MONEY

I used this to cut new threads on a 1/2 brass nipple that I need to trim down to an odd size and it just worked Great. Before I bought it, I noticed that some of the cutting edges were broken off. I have been using taps and dies for over 30 years and have never had a tool break or become damaged with normal use. Almost everyone knows how to be liberal with cutting oil or kerosene, but I'm surprised a lot of people don't realize that when you're cutting, you should back off about every quarter turn to keep the cutting edges from getting caught in the chips...and trash. It will take longer, but overall the process will be easier, your threads will be of better quality, and your tools will last longer.

Pros
  • Cutting Tools
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
