He works where Lincolns don't work.

I have a Lincoln Manual Grease Gun (1147) and a Lincoln Pneumatic Grease Gun (1162) that I have struggled with for about 5 years. The airgun has been junk since the day I bought it. It has no power even though it uses 120psi of air pressure. The power piston would often get stuck and stop working until the pressure was released. The clutch leaked and the "patented" grease pusher in the reservoir reversed, causing the grease in the reservoir to spill past the pusher and into the spring area of the reservoir. This caused quite a mess when I brought the push rod back into the loading position. I recently replaced some ball joints on a truck and wanted to fill them with grease. The airgun was losing its prime, so I went to a manual Lincoln, which couldn't put lubricant on the new pivot because it was circulating in the rifle's pump. My guess is that the clearance between the piston and the orifice in the pump housing was out of spec causing an internal leak. Wear and tear is unknown to me because this gun is only five years old and I'm just a homeowner who changes oil and greases his own cars. I bought this Alemite 500e grease gun based on the reviews here on Revain. My first use was to put grease in the previously mentioned ball joint. This was done without any additional effort on my part. The coupling stays in place even after mounting on the transom. This weapon just works. I will throw Lincoln guns in the trash and not buy their junk again. No need to keep them around when this one is doing what it should but isn't.
