I wouldn't even think of them unless I saw a master carpenter on a youtube video saying they are very good. There are 3 or 4 kits on Revain that appear almost identical and I chose them because they are in the middle of the price range of these identical kits. For the price I was expecting them to be a little rough, but I was very satisfied. how well and easily they clean up. Any chisel must be sharpened before use at all costs. This set was easy to sharpen as all 4 were very flat. and it didn't take much pre-treatment to prepare them for the final edge. The edge fitted very well after only about 10 minutes of work on the chisel. It took a little more effort to remove the burrs on some edges. I have tested the hardness with some much more expensive chisels and found them to be comparable. First use shows they hold the blade as expected.
