Review on ๐Ÿงฑ Classic Baseplate Plates: Enhanced Compatibility for Easy Plating by Jamal Edwards

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Almost perfect budget boards

My point of view: I have 15,000 legos and spent a lot of time playing with them. I've also had Tyco, Megablocks, Kre-o etc so I know how to compare things. Why I bought this: I was trying to find a quality board that was cheaper to save money if I was covering an entire room in the base. Boards. Satisfaction: The boards are almost perfect. Lego and Lego knock-offs go just as well with these boards as they do with standard Lego boards. The price is amazing for the quality I got. Differences list: 1. These boards are heavier than the official Lego boards.2. These boards appear to be more durable than Lego boards; When I tried to scratch them, they held up better than the official alternative.3. The boards are slightly thicker than the official Lego boards. I would say that the difference is at most 0.5 millimeters. It doesn't matter and shouldn't matter at all considering these are base plates and not plates (if the plates were that wrong I would give 2 stars at best). The only thing that should change with this increase in thickness is that I would recommend sticking with Lego if you're working on a huge project and you're already 90% complete but just need a couple of skirting boards that you have alongside Lego placed. Planks on level ground the difference is visible and building over the planks has an exponentially increasing effect. I am still rating this 5 stars because in my situation it would be better for me to use these boards and not use my Lego boards if I ever had a build big enough that this could be a problem. TL; DR The differences between these and Lego boards don't matter unless you're an amateur or a pro working on a 30,000 brick scale. In this case you want to see the boards for yourself because you know better than me.
