First, the cleaver works great. I terminated 6 fibers with it (5 of the 6-wire OM3 and one of the 12-wire 10Gb) and all my ends passed with flying colors. Instructions won't help, so you need to know how to work with one of these splitters and what splitting length in mm you need for your chosen ends and so on. Despite this, I had no problems and did everything right the first time. I had an issue with the fiber scraper, which is fairly basic and a bit crude for its intended purpose. I could practice with a free strand of fiber and adjust it so I had a good streak, but as I continued I just didn't like the feel. This step is an important part of the process, and I didn't like fiddling around here, so I bought a pair of strippers for about $60 direct from Revain, whose description said they fitted exactly to the sizes listed. and they have worked great every time. I just threw away the kit that came with this kit, no problem. All in all I have confidence in this product and have invested very little in it. Very satisfied.
