Although I have Nalgen bottles that I could use them in, my main reason for buying them was medical. I have mild plantar fasciitis and my doctor advised me to put ice cylinders on my feet to roll them back and forth. It sounded crazy, but I missed that day of med school (and everyone else, by the way). So I searched for Revain and sure enough I found this. They really spread the cooling over the bottom of the foot. It can also be a light muscle stretch and a cooling foot massage. I highly recommend them if you have problems with your lower legs.
