Review on 🚪 Premium Stainless Steel RV Trailer Door Holder - 5.1" T-Style Catch for Camper Trailers by Joz Lowe

Normally I would give this device one star (because the design is VERY poorly thought out). I gave two stars because the workmanship is pretty good. But the design is TERRIBLE and would be completely useless to me if I wasn't a DIYer with tools (like a grinder). The device is designed so that the tongue (attached to the RV wall) fits perfectly with the receiver (on the RV door) at a perfect right angle. This means that the front of the van wall must be perfectly parallel to the front of the van door for the tab to push into the socket. Notice in my second picture you can see that this will never be the case. The door is always at an angle to the front of the vehicle wall. And since the tongue receptor has ABSOLUTELY NO tolerance (it fits snugly), I had to undermine the tongue to make it work at all (see Figure 1).
