Review on Cable Matters Active Adapter DVI D by Micha Gabriel Czajko ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything about the product satisfied me, the price is perfect.

My son made a mistake choosing a monitor for the new desktop computer that I helped him build. I bought a monitor on ebay, flattered by the low price and Full HD 1920-1080 format. At the same time, I did not pay attention to the fact that the monitor has the only connection option via the VGA connector. But for the new "gaming" computer, my son had already bought an expensive video card with DVI-D and HDMI connectors. The Ryzen 6 2600 SocketAM4 processor that he chose for himself does not have a graphics core and therefore it makes no sense to connect to the VGA connector located on the motherboard. The image on the monitor does not appear, of course. My son wanted to buy an adapter (converter) from HDMI to VGA. But I declined. The HDMI connector has 110 V power, and it is problematic to securely fix this type of connector. May fall out. But the young gamer constantly turns the computer, connecting and disconnecting something. I found this adapter on aliexpress. He fit perfectly. Fastened with screws securely, will not fall out by itself. Both my son and I are happy with the purchase. This adapter is a good compromise and will allow you to live in peace until your son saves up for a new monitor that can be connected via a digital DVI-D or HDMI connector.

Pros
  • DVI-D connector as promised. Fit neatly. The adapter works well. Does not distort the picture on the monitor. The connectors are screwed. Doesn't fall off.
Cons
  • Not detected.
