Once installed these pads are excellent but following the instructions wasn't enough. On a "cold" Texas morning (maybe 35 to 40 F) the braking was so bad it was scary. until it warms up and is fine. I had to follow the advice of a friend who said to go from 80 to 40 several times until you can smell the fried pods. Once I did that they were great for car/track use or heavy traffic, never faded as far as I could tell and I wasn't afraid of hitting someone from behind on my morning commute. They lasted a very long time and the dust, if any, was only slightly worse than stock.
