Review on SamaN Interior Water Based Wood Stain - Natural Stain For Furniture, Moldings, Wood Paneling & Cabinets (Black TEW-108-12, 12 Oz) by Dave Seawell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Might need two coats and a sealant, but overall a good purchase

I bought this for a desk I'm refinishing, to try to match the darker wood colors of my other furniture. The pro's:-It gives a pretty good color for the price point-It doesn't dry too quickly, so easy to wipe off excess as you go-It's more affordable than the other alternatives I've seen-It applies nicely with a synthetic brush--no streak marks as long as you wipe it off properlyThe con's:-If you're looking for a true antique walnut color, you'll probably want to put on two coats at least-It's not as thick as I expected, so make sure you use a brush to apply.-It looks somewhat dull after drying, so you'll want to add at least one coat of urethane or another finishing material.-Because it's so watery, it's easy to apply too much, so you end up wasting a lot of material when you wipe the surface down.-Because it's a darker color, it really brings out any mistakes in sanding.Overall, I'm satisfied with it and would buy it again.
