These are great, as long as you know what you are ordering. I almost didn't order because of some other reviews, so here is my main takeaway when considering the negative reviews.1. These aren't medela parts. Ultimately, I don't see why you should care because they work with the medela pump and you can't tell a difference. I got the smaller medela shields and use those half the time, and there is no difference in output.2. These are one piece. A lot of people complained about not being able to get these clean. Maybe they have changed the shape since those people ordered, because these are just as easy to clean as any two-piece shield. In particular, some people complained that water got into a sealed chamber and couldn't be dried out. As far as I can tell, there isn't a single part of this that is sealed off. Water goes through it all and always comes out the other side.3. Use with a hands-free bra: Ok, I will admit it is harder to use my Lansinoh hands-free bra with these because you have to shove the entire back end through the openings, but seriously, that takes about 10 seconds longer than assembling the two-piece shields through the openings. Maybe the people who complained have a different type of bra. I usually use this to pump when my husband is taking care of the baby and use my medela shields when I have him just because when he starts screaming that extra 10 seconds can seem like an eternity, but if I forgot to wash my other parts and these are clean, I use these and don't have a problem.The only thing I would say about these is that I feel like it is easier to spill if you bend over than with the medela two-piece shields. I lost a lot of pumped milk the first week that I had these, but once I figured out where the tipping point was, I have had no further problems.
