Cheap plastic on Mass Air Flow
There is no "what if". For example, instead of buying one that costs a hundred dollars, what if this cheap one really works? Do not do that. To save time. Replaced because the idle was rough at random times and went back to normal. According to the error code, the idle control valve is stuck open. I took both out and cleaned them and since the MAF looked the most worn I thought maybe the IACV reading was wrong and stayed open. But no. The fit of this part is perfect but got me idling at 1000-1100 rpm. I put the old one back in and everything is back to normal.
