I bought these bags to cover up and protect my Christmas decorations while being stored in my crawl space. When I laid a single bag out and measured the length, it measured 45”, not 46” as specified. The previous bags I had were 46” and were big enough to cover all of my biggest decorations but they were black. I bought these bags because they said they are the same length as the old bags I had (46”) and I wanted clear so I could see what is in my storage bags. Because of the "bunching” at the bottom of these bags, they really only cover up an item that is about 36” tall (see picture). The bags are fairly durable for storing things that don’t have sharp points or edges. If you want to use them for a garage trash can, I wouldn’t put anything sharp in the trash can. You do get a lot of bags for the money so I just used two bags to cover the tall stuff completely. I would buy these bags again. Hope this helps someone!
