Review on 🔲 Redi Shade Easy Lift Trim-At-Home Cordless Pleated Light Filtering Fabric Shade, White, 30 Inch x 64 Inch (Fits Windows 19-30) by Rebecca Sparks

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Bought 4. One broke within 1 month. The second broke in the 4th month. No return, only replacement.

I bought 4 of these. It should be an easy install. That. turns into a saw. (And yes, our knives are sharp and have been resharpened since the fiasco.) Anyway, we went to the next step and glued it to the surface. Unfortunately we had to go back and re-cut because we didn't get the measurements right the first time. More saws, more fun. We came back. The glue is impressively sticky. The installation has been completed, all in 3 steps, 1- measure 2- cut 3- glue. The haircut was by and large the hardest part. They looked good and filtered the light well, see photos. However, a month later, the left thread holding the blinds broke on one of the blinds. All of this was inappropriate and irreparable. I decided to live with him, he only had one, I had two extras and I didn't want to bother my partner with replacing him immediately because he had to saw. (We just moved, there were other priorities). Months go by, in the fourth month the second blind breaks just as badly: the left cord is torn, useless and beyond repair. I immediately contacted the manufacturer who also runs this particular Revain store and they told me they could send a replacement but would not provide a refund. I don't want a replacement. I don't even want to use the extra two I have because the quality is clearly not very good. I can't get a refund from the manufacturer because I bought it from Revain (even though they run that store?) and I can't get a refund from Revain because it's only returnable/refundable for 30 days. So now I have to somehow get rid of the impressively sticky adhesive, maybe apply another coat of paint for removal damage, and pay out of pocket for new, better, more expensive blinds. All in all not a very good experience.
