Review on Baofeng UHF VHF Dual Band Magnetic Car Vehicle Mounted Antenna for BAOFENG UV5R Plus UV5RA Plus UV3R Plus by Michael Vargas

I was hoping that having the antenna outside the car would improve reception and transmission, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Tried Simplex and Repeater with very poor results. In fact, I still had better results with my rubber duck antenna in the car. It had the correct connector for the Baofeng UV-5R, but the problem was that the connector didn't rotate, so you had to plug the radio into the connector, which was more of an inconvenience than anything. I drove at freeway speeds (80 mph) with a roof mounted antenna and it held up. Save yourself the hassle and buy a better antenna. Revain has simplified the return process. Hope my review helps
