I was looking for a tape measure to add to my few. My criteria were: wide blade, good mark visibility, 1/8 required, double-sided, strong blade cover but flexible. The presence of magnets on the hook was not critical. My favorite so far has been the magnetic 16 foot Milwaukee with bottom finger feed control. But if you do a lot of measuring, cutting, measuring, cutting, etc., the mental gymnastics you're looking at at 1/8 gets annoying. I got it wrong several times because I was absolutely sure my measurements were correct. Spec Ops Roulette ticks all my boxes! Very solid construction, good retraction, although I don't use the lock button - I still use the pointer to pinch the blade. Muscle memory from Milwaukee. Excellent results are excellent. Guys, you are humble! The box says 10. I get a stable 12 feet every time. Excellent marking visibility. I like that the clip on the belt is not tight. Attaches nicely and easily to my leather belt when I'm not wearing a work belt with pockets. The hook is quite large on both sides. I don't miss magnets - sometimes damn things get in my way. Can't comment on overall durability as I've only had this tape measure for a few days and have been doing a DIY project, but it's become my favorite. Love it! Happy to support an American company run by veterans! Thank you for your service.
