I installed my Valance CAI on my 09 F150 this afternoon. Firstly, there were no instructions (not complicated, but this product has a coolant overflow replacement). I contacted Volant tech support and was assisted by "Daniel" who helped me. I uploaded a schematic installation manual that doesn't give a specific starting point, so I'm glad I've already done similar work on my truck. Everything is installed, no, after launch I noticed that the details and the diagram on the diagram do not match what was in front of me. Called "Daniel" again. He pointed out a procedural change that matched the details but did not follow the diagram, and holes that had to be drilled in the airbox to accommodate the new method of attaching the spill tank to the airbox to improve resistance to coolant spill. and air box. Also, without Daniel's help, it would have taken even longer to figure out the parts mismatch and the need to drill a hole in the airbox. Additionally, Daniel pointed out the need to remove the rubber mat that protected the inside of the fender from the stock airbox and the OEM air duct running through the stock airbox. Removing the mat allows air to flow freely into the bottom of the Valance's airbox. I hope my efforts pay off. Beautiful design with potential. I will update my rating. after driving with the new intake for a while.
