Review on 31Pc Silicone Kitchen Utensil Set - Heat Resistant Non-Stick Spatula With Stainless Steel Handle (BPA Free, Non Toxic) by Alex Barnes

First off, I'm honestly shocked at the amount of positive reviews for this product. I mean, for $27 you do get a lot of items so I guess that's good? But if I could go back in time, I would NOT purchase this product. Here is why.First impressions:1) Holy crap there are a lot of pieces. Needless to say, it's one thing to read "31 pcs" and it's another to see it all in real life. Each individual piece was wrapped in plastic and shipped in a nice secure box. So thumbs up for a nice presentation!2) As I went unwrapping each piece I thoroughly inspected them to check for damage and quality. I was not impressed overall with the build quality of any of them. Each utensil piece is made out of the cheapest plastic possible and and despite the cost to quantity ratio here, I strongly feel like I wasted money. The build quality of the utensils remind me of what I'd get buying from a local vender in the streets of a 3rd world country.3) After I inspected each item, despite feeling like I had wasted money, I didn't feel like going through the process of shipping them back so I decided to give them a chance. I put them all in the top shelf of the dishwasher, put in a small cup of borax (which I use in all of my washes to help with cleaning) and one packet of Kirkland detergent (as seen in the photo). I set the dishwasher to heavy wash and ran a cycle.4) As seen from the attached photo's this is what awaited me after the wash and when I pulled the utensils out. Stained. Badly. I will make a point and note that I currently have a whole house water filtration system in place and an whole house alternative water softener installed. As such, I still get composites from the hard water but they come off very easily and are heavily reduced due to the filtration system. Regardless, as you can see from the photo's the utensils became stained and nothing I did removed the staining. At this point I understand I can't return the product and I will use the utensils until they completely fail as short of throwing them away I am stuck with them. However, I want to warn any future interested parties that these are not worth the money and if you need utensils look elsewhere.
