There was a rattling noise inside the unit on arrival. Upon opening it to see what was rattling, two nuts and bolts fell out (I now feel more confident plugging it into an outlet). I didn't see where they were supposed to go, so they're still being removed. It works, reads electricity and appears to be accurate. A small cord is nice and makes reading easier. It differs from Kill-A-Watt in that it uses a current transformer to measure current while the old Kill-A-Watt measures current through a resistor. This is handy for quickly measuring current or power.
