Like all the other reviewers, the quality is excellent. You are also on the small side. My son is 8 years old (also skinny) but I ordered size 10/13 because I was tired of returning socks that were too thin or too tight. The socks fit, but make sure you select shoe size and not age when ordering (my son wears a size 4). Not sure my 8 year old will be comfortable in it next year so to say it will fit a 10-13 year old would be an exaggeration. Also, I wish they had multiple color options. I'm not sure if we're even going to use yellow or maroon, it would be nice
