I started with a new backing pad for an old Dewalt orbital sander, using 150 grit fairly fresh polyacrylic spray, I stripped the drawers back down to the bare wood. There were no adhesion issues and when changing the disc it was actually difficult to get it off the pad. The drive worked very well with no clogging issues and overall I'm very happy with it. I've used branded discs from the box store that start with a "D" and cost four times as much as these and as I said I'll be ordering hundreds more from stock and using on a finished project.
