I'm usually 4/6 but because I'm busty I often have to order medium instead of small and after reading reviews, I decided to order the average. It fitted great (didn't look or feel like a Michelin star) and was perfect for our trip to Canada last week. I don't have any heavy sweaters to wear underneath, but there would be room for them. I didn't need them because the coat kept me warm. We spent a lot of time outdoors, sightseeing, and eating out, and I felt very comfortable, although I'm more used to the Florida heat than the Canadian cold. The length was nice. I'm 5ft 6in and this was enough to keep me warm in the cold wind. The hood strikes me as rather odd and unflattering, so I just ignored it and put on a warm hat instead. I used the travel room. Bags that you roll up to deflate and easily slipped this coat and my husband's heavy jacket into our carry-on luggage on the way home. My long jacket took up less space and was much lighter than his heavy jacket, which is shorter.
