The scanner does not match the description. Yes, it's portable in the sense that you can take it with you, but it can only connect to one Wi-Fi network. If you want to change networks, you must reprogram them. Even if you use an access point from a mobile device, you cannot connect the scanner to this network. Tech support has been great with this product. They are knowledgeable and have tried to come up with various solutions but unfortunately the product is not meant for the way it is marketed. If you move from place to place and want to use the scanner, you'll have to reprogram it for each WiFi network (it's not as easy as connecting to WiFi from your phone or computer) or you'll have to use it with your laptop connect the only options. I work in the insurance industry and need to be able to scan documents on the go. I wanted to use this product and was attracted by its "wireless" capabilities. But unfortunately the product is only half wireless and half wearable. Bluetooth option would be better than WiFi. I got my money back with no problems.
