Pros: 1) If it works, it's great! 2) I have had good experiences with customer service. waterproof. (I haven't tested this) 4) Easy to attach to the chassis. Disadvantages 1) Battery: enough for about half of the specified. 15 hour drive 2) Magnet: Advertised as a 70 lb magnet. Actually there are two magnets. In independent tests, they could lift a 15-pound barbell but not a 20-pound barbell. So the two magnets together weigh between 30 and 40 pounds. 3) The online application is unreliable. In 15% of the cases it was "defective". 4) The device is unreliable, especially at 50% battery. Conclusion: I will not buy it again and I will not recommend it. Too much "dead time" to count on. I bought it specifically to watch my car drive for 4 hours on vacation. First off, there were some inconsistencies between what was said in the product description and what was actually required to initialize the GPS device. There is an online application that you can use to track your device. It was not installed correctly and had to be reset by customer service. I would give the customer service 4 stars. They were polite and professional even though there were some difficulties at the beginning of the trip. The GPS device has two location methods: GPS and Cellular. During a trip, the GPS stopped working 2 hours after the start of the trip. The cellular network was still working so I couldn't track it but he gave me a google map of where the car was when I requested it. (You ask by texting the code to the mobile number.) The next day the GPS worked again and continued to work throughout the trip, including on the way back. I had the opportunity to monitor the car in real time. To test the battery, I didn't charge it after the ride. Three days later, he stopped broadcasting, even to a cell phone. The next day it was working again and responding to the text indicating the battery was at 15%. I have three other machines that I would like to install GPS trackers on but based on my experience this is not my choice and I would not recommend this to anyone.
