I've been using this for about a month and for the most part it does the job. The instruction manual sucks, but honestly, after reading the first few lines, I just put it aside. A few tips: Always fill the water tank to the brim. Exactly the amount of water needed to prepare the desired number of cups is used. This is to reduce the formation of limescale on the heating element. The button on the top left is for the fineness of the grind. Clockwise rotation is fine and this works for me. The water preheat setting causes the water in the boiler to be heated from zero to 5 minutes. I'm not sure what the purpose of this is, but a longer preheat time may result in a hotter cup of coffee. This preheating takes place after the beans are ground but before the water is applied to the coffee. Unfortunately, you have to check the level of the beans every night and manually slide them under the little protective cap that sits on top (the grinder is obviously off). Otherwise, not enough beans will get into the grinder and you will end up with a very weak cup of coffee. I'm guessing the little hat is a safety feature so you don't rub your fingers while you work. This could have been avoided if they had a much higher coffee capacity. However, the machine is already too tall to fit under most kitchen cabinets. If it were any bigger, it would be too heavy and look weird. Misunderstanding: Setting the keep-warm time over 40 minutes. The default maximum heating time when using the auto brew function to get home or set the time is 40 minutes. If you touch the cog wheel on the home screen, the coffee pot will switch to the home screen on the next screen. In the upper right corner, you can touch 4 dots and enter the mode and product settings page. Select the manual use setting and you will be taken to another screen that offers a maximum of 40 minutes of heat retention left. However, there is another way! Go back two pages to the home screen and click Options at the bottom. Here you can change the strength, keep warm and filter the beans. You can also choose to keep warm between 0 and 120 minutes. I use 90 minutes. These settings are used when you manage your bank through Google. So I called my Smartcoffee pot "Coffee" as the network name. I also named it "coffee" on Google Home. Then I added a line to my Good Morning Google method that simply says "Start coffee." After about 12 minutes I drink coffee. The same line can be added to the google procedure that turns on the google alarm clock in the morning to make it work completely automatically. I prefer this semi-manual method because sometimes I get up before the alarm clock. It appears to be a descent vehicle. Cleaning the grinder can be problematic if it ever gets clogged. I don't see an easy way to analyze it. Even on the strongest level, the coffee is not strong enough for me. I put two small spoonfuls of ground coffee in the filter basket if I leave it overnight. This shouldn't be a problem for most people. I love strong coffee very much.
