This Hayabusa double end bag feels really nice and was pretty much what I was looking for as a beginner. I like the size, which is roughly 7.5" in diameter as this is small enough to be snappy and require concentration to hit, while also being big enough to land solid punches with gloves on. I liked that the Hayabusa included the elastic cord for hanging, but I really wish they had made the ends adjustable instead of just solid loops. The bag "leather" feels great and seems like it will hold up well. I was concerned about the fill hole being right in the punch area, but it is flush with the surface and hasn't been a problem. Inflating it was easy with the included pump. I didn't want to drill a hole in the floor of my garage to attach the bottom end, so I just made a stack of about 30 pounds of barbell weights and attached it to those. You don't need a ton of weigh since the double end bag is more for timing training, while a heavy bag is more for power punches.I like the cords that came with it as they are elastic, but also thin and very snappy. They don't seem to slow the ball down from wind resistance at all like a flat "ribbon" style elastic might. The downside of the included cord is that the ends are fixed in loops with metal wire, and can't be adjusted. Because the cords are equal length, that means that the ball will almost definitely be too low for punching. I have mine attached to an 8' ceiling, and as it came out of the box, sat almost at elbow level. I've read it's better to have the ball sitting at chin level. To fix this I ordered two Nite Ize Cam Jam 2-3/5" cam hooks, undid the wire on the end loops of the cord, and attached the Cam Jams to each end. This is great because not only can I adjust the height, but also can adjust the tension to get the "bounce" just right. The jams only cost about $5 total, but I wish something like this had already been included. Removing the sturdy wire on the loops took some sturdy pliers and might be difficult for some people.Overall, I've really been enjoying the double end bag and have already gotten better at timing and connecting punches. I have a heavy bag also, but this double end bag is so fun to use and can really be used for cardio, coordination, strength and endurance in the arms, stepping, and defense all at once. There are a lot of videos on YouTube that show how to use the bag, but I have really enjoyed Tony Jeffries' videos and specifically the one for beginners on the double end bag.
