Recently bought a new house. With the arrival of spring it is time to start gardening. I hooked up a garden hose and was hit in the face when the hose burst. I found that before the pressure regulator leading to my house, the outside hose was connected directly to the city water supply. I connected this adapter to an external faucet and it worked. The pressure is now set and the hoses no longer flush. The only problem I had was the regulator cavitating when I attached a spray nozzle to it. He shakes the pipes and makes loud noises. I don't know how to stop it.
