This is a fantastic flashlight for the money. I have 3 NiteRider MiNewt 350 but they are getting old - 7 years - and just don't hold a charge long so it's time for a new light. Considering I paid $100 for each MiNewts, this $40 Lumina 750 was hard to miss. Side-by-side comparisons - day and night. The Lumina 750 is almost as bright in dim mode as the MiNewt at full power (remember the MiNewt is 7 years old so the original 350 lumens are probably unachievable). I believe they call it 150 lumens in low light Lumina. I drive a lot at night, especially in the summer here in Austin, Texas. Here's what to consider before buying this flashlight: It's a "Micro" 750, so the battery won't help you on a full-power 4-hour ride. Spend $150 on a decent pendant light and stop expecting to get the world cheap. The Micro 750 will get you there in low (150 lumens?) and maybe mid (400 lumens?) but not the full 750 lumens rated for 90 minutes MAX! - Quick charge from empty to full in about 2 hours 45 minutes. Compared to MiNewt which takes at least 4 hours. - Charging via Micro-USB, which is more common than Mini-USB in older flashlights. - Decent light distribution - about what I would expect from this type of lens. Light in off position. - When the battery dies the light doesn't actually turn off, but rather goes down to 'running' brightness, maybe 50 lumens? Not bright enough for trail riding, but at least you won't be plunged into darkness without warning. I don't drive to work, but I drive a lot at night. So here's my general suggestion, not specific to this light. Get two. Operate both at the same time for wider light distribution (left/right) and more flexibility in terms of brightness and durability. I almost always drive with two headlights. Not only does this help you see and be seen, but with 2 lights it's easier for other people to see your distance and speed, similar to car headlights. Someone is less likely to break out in front of you when they can determine how far away you are and how fast you are approaching based on two points of light instead of one point of light when you only run one. After comparing this light to my old devices on 3 trips I will buy another one and probably throw away the old ones.
