Frustrating usability issues, limited features and input lag

I had some issues with this during the setup process, I spent about an hour with the device before I could use it. It is not plug and play with PS3 controllers. You'll need to download some software, mess around with Windows settings, restart your computer in troubleshooting mode, and use a mini USB cable to pair your PS3 controller to your PC before you can use it in your console. After pairing the adapter with your PS3 controller, you need to wake up the Switch with the joysticks, then connect the PS3 controller through the adapter, and then pair any Switch Pro controllers you may have. You cannot wake up the console with the PS3 controller. Also, you cannot connect a Switch Pro controller before you have connected another controller through an adapter, since the other controller will not work through the adapter if a Switch Pro controller was previously connected. If you connect something wrong, you have to restart and try again. Finally, motion controls are not supported, presumably due to technical limitations and differences between different platforms. It would be nice to play New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe on Switch using the Wii Remote motion (just like New Super Mario Bros Wii), but this is not supported. Connecting multiple controllers via one adapter is also not supported. Edit: I played around with Mario a bit and the input lag is really bad too.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
