I wasn't planning on writing a review for this cable tester, but the packaging was a lot better than its cheaper competitors. I had to post pictures. Other cable testers I've bought here at Revain came in a zippered pouch. To make matters worse, they come in a padded case that offers no protection for sockets or protruding ports. The Sperry Cable Tester is packaged in a blister pack, so it can even withstand being shipped in an envelope. I did a quick test with the included cables and everything was fine. That's when I noticed that the lights were only on on the remote control. More expensive cable testers have indicators on both devices that can help you determine which end of the cable has a problem. The Sperry TT64202 cannot be used with RJ-45 cables that carry electricity, such as telephones or office security cameras. Although the downloadable manual states that batteries are not included, my kit came with two AAA batteries.
