Your mechanic said it would help with a soft pedal. Maybe 5 percent. I really should preface this by saying that I do all the work on MY car and the cars of close relatives. It wasn't for my car and a family member didn't want me to do the work. What I think is wrong with this scenario is air in the brake lines, but how should I know, I just replaced 2.5 brake lines and the master cylinder on my non-sponge pedal car. I used the same brand for mine (albeit without a press) so I know it's quality. While it's hard to judge how well it works, mine isn't the least bit mature. It could be air in the lines, a bad amp, or a weird MC. I'll never know because they don't want the brake lines bled. In short, the product appeared to be of high quality. Works well in the app. It probably just wasn't necessary. I will update if I hear about it in the near future. I don't know if that's 5 stars so I can't rate it accordingly.
